The Mandatory Standard

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) established the Mandatory Standard for Electromagnetic Field Emission from Radiocommunications Infrastructure which came into operation on 1 January 2011.

The Mandatory Standard was determined to address increasing public concern on EMF emissions from radiocommunication infrastructure. In order to boost public confidence the Standard was designed to ensure industry-wide compliance. The limits set under the Standard are aligned with the widely-accepted international standard known as the The ICNIRP Guidelines.

The Lincensees that are subject to the Standard must produce a compliance report for all their radiocommunication installations. The report contains antenna parameters and electromagnetic of the reported site.
