What is EMF

An electromagnetic field (EMF) is a physical field produced by electrically charged objects. Electrical and electronic devices that we use in everyday life emits electromagnetic fields.

In our work scope we are concerned with electromagnetic fields produced by electromagnetic waves whose frequencies are lower than visible light, especially those used in radio and television broadcast, mobile phones and RF antennas.

Health issues

Experts agree that available research data are insufficient to include potential long effects of exposure, such as increased risk of cancer. However, exposure to EMF may have short-term, immediate health effects such as stimulation of peripheral nerves and muscles, shocks and burns caused by touching conducting objects, and elevated tissue temperatures resulting from absorption of energy.
